Travis Davidson was a member of one of the most successful men’s basketball teams in program history. Between 1988 and his graduation in 1991, Davidson was three-year letter winner for the Wildcats, and helped lead LC to 62 wins and three straight playoff appearances. Davidson averaged nearly a triple-double during the team’s championship run and double digit points in both his junior and senior seasons. He received multiple team awards which included the free throw award, leading rebounder, twice named as team captain and team’s most valuable player. He was known as a tremendous defender who drew the opponent’s best offensive player assignment. Travis was named to the all-conference team in District 30 and the Louisiana Sports Writers Association All-Louisiana team. In his career he scored over 1,000 points, pulled down 500 rebounds, and had over 250 assists.

After graduation Travis began his career with the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office where he has served for over 20 years.  He holds the rank of Captain and supervises and directs the School Resource Officer’s Program which consists of 65 deputies.  He is an active member his church, Servants of Christ Church in Alexandria where he serves as Chairman and Superintendent of both the deacon and Sunday school ministries.  He has also served the community as a youth baseball and basketball coach for many years.   As a member of the non-profit Warhorse Tailgaters Association, which supports three local schools, he is afforded the opportunity to mentor young people.
