Clifton "Monkey" Randall

Clifton "Monkey" Randall was an outstanding lineman for the Wildcats during the 1950s. Red-shirted his first year at LC, he lettered the next two years and was named Player of the Week in September of 1952.

Randall was drafted into the military in 1954. He returned to LC in 1957 where he lettered two more years. He handled kickoffs for LC for three years and played on the football team that won the Rice Bowl in 1958. He played under three different head coaches while attending Louisiana College -- Jimmy Keeth, Devon Payne and J. W. Patrick.

Randall has served in the following capacities: head baseball coach at Springhill High School, head football and track coach at Alexandria Junior High School and as athletic director at AJHS, as well as head football coach at Pineville Junior High School. He has officiated football and basketball games for ten years.

Randall is a volunteer hunter education teacher for the Louisiana Fisheries and Wildlife Department and a member of Quail Unlimited and Ducks Unlimited. He helped organize the City of Pineville's recreation program and ran the Buhlow Lake Youth Baseball program for two years as well as the Boys Little League Program in Alexandria for four years.

The Wildcat Athletic Association proudly inducted Clifton "Monkey" Randall into the Louisiana College Sports Hall of Fame on February 26, 1999.
