Ronnie Kaiser was once known as the best rebounder to ever play for Louisiana College. Then he became known as one of the best high school coaches in the state of Louisiana. Excellence was a habit for Ronnie Kaiser.

A center with good speed and outside shooting abilities, it was his aggressive rebounding for which Kaiser was known. Playing from 1964-68, Kaiser led the team in rebounding his last three years at LC. A team player, Kaiser had an outstanding ability to free teammates for easy baskets with bonecrushing screens. Kaiser was also a leader in scoring for the Wildcats. He still holds one of the career scoring records with 1,052 points scored in 85 games. With a 12.4 point average per game, Kaiser was said to give 110 percent every time on the court.

That kind of dedication is what made Kaiser such a reknown coach. A Pineville native, Kaiser coached at the same school he attended years ago. Kaiser coached his baseball teams to the district championships ten times. His basketball teams held a district championship title consistently from 1988 until his retiremnet in 2002. He is in a select group of coaches that have won the State Championship as both a baseball and basketball coach.

Kaiser was named District Coach of the Year multiple times and Louisiana Coach of the Year twice. He is considered by his colleagues as one of the all-time top coaches in Louisiana.

The Wildcat Athletic Association proudly inducted Ronald Lee Kaiser as a member of the Louisiana College Sports Hall of Fame on February 13, 1993.
