Hall of Fame
Curtis Cook, a standout LC quarterback in the mid-1920's, led the Oakdale High School football team to a 137-45-10 record during a 19-year stretch and was considered Southwest Louisiana's top football and basketball coarch for many years. A member of the Louisiana High School Hall of Fame, Cook was selected as the best high school football coach in southwest Louisiana in 1946 and 1955. He was chosen as the best high school basketball coach in the same region in 1952, '56, and '57.
