Dr. O.K. "Doc" Bailey is a 1952 graduate of Louisiana College who has continued to support his alma mater through the years.

During his Louisiana College career, he lettered three years in football (from 1949 until 1951) and four years in baseball (from 1949 until 1952). He was selected All Conference in baseball in 1952. He is still a major supporter and financial contributor to Louisiana College athletics.

He founded the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in the Ark-La-Tex area in 1969 and was the first recipient of the Dr. O.K. Bailey Award in 1990. He was selected to receive the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Hall of Champions Award, a national honor, in recognition of his outstanding athletic achievement and faithful Christian service.

Dr. Bailey has a private dental practice in Shreveport. He is a member of Summer Grove Baptist Church.

He is married to Jackie Till, and they have four children - Robert Kendall, Cynthia Jan, Diann Lyn, and Donna Kay. They also have eight grandchildren.

The Wildcat Athletic Association inducted Dr. O.K. Bailey into the Louisiana College Sports Hall of Fame on October 17, 2003.
