Jim Morgans is a 1969 graduate of Louisiana College, where he was a team captain on the football team as a nose guard and offensive tackle. One of Jim’s dreams was to coach his alma mater Allentown Central Catholic, and for nine years, he did just that, winning a school record 136 games along with six 3A District 11 championships, five East Penn Conference titles, and two Pennsylvania state championships in 1993 and 1998.Â
Morgans spent 11 years as the head coach of Parkland High School, after his time at Central Catholic, where he won five more 4A District 11 championships and made appearances in two more Pennsylvania state championship games. Morgans won eight different Coach of the Year awards in his time at Central Catholic, Salisbury High School, and Parkland. He is a member of the Lehigh Valley Football Hall of Fame and a 1995 inductee into the Pennsylvania Football Hall of Fame. After 33 years of coaching high school football and over 260 wins, Jim Morgans retired in March of 2016.
