Billy Jones was first big Wildcat basketball scorer. The six-foot, 10 inch center from Pineville led LC to its first 20-win season in 1970. Jones is the fourth leading scorer in Wildcat history with 1,562 points and is second highest in single-season scoring average with 21.5 points per game in 1969-70. Drafted by the Baltimore Bullets, Jones is now an assistant basketball coach at Pineville High School.
