WACO, Texas – Louisiana Christian University men's golf team member Blake Francis was named the Red River Athletic Conference's Men's Golfer of the Week after his performance at the Lawrence Tech Spring Break Invitational.
 
Francis, a senior from Rayne, La., led Louisiana Christian at the LTU Spring Break Invitational as he finished in a tie for 22^nd place with a +12 (258) over the three-round, three-day event at the Grand National Golf Course – Lake Course in Opelika, Ala.
 
He went +2 (74) on day one, carded a +7 (79) on day two, and finished the event with a +3 (75) in the final round. LCU finished 11^th out of 13 teams participating in the event with a team score of +105 (969). This is Francis's first RRAC Men's Golfer of the Week award this season.
 
Francis and the rest of the Wildcats return to action on Monday in Bossier City at the Hal Sutton Invitational. The Hal Sutton Invitational, hosted by Centenary College, will take place at The Golf Club at StoneBridge.
