Francis Wins Individual Title, Wildcats Finish Second at 4-Him Classic

Senior from Rayne is Lone Golfer of Tournament to Card Sub-Par Round in Winning Title

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas – The Louisiana Christian University men's golf team wrapped up its first tournament of the 2026 Spring season seeing Blake Francis win the individual title with a +1 (141) over two rounds as the Wildcats finished second in the team competition with a +57 (617) at the 4-Him Classic at the Iron Horse Golf Course.
 
After shooting a +5 (75) in Monday's first round, Francis found his groove in the second round, carding five birdies to just one bogey on Tuesday to finish the day with a 66, four-under par, making him the only competitor in the field to have a sub-par round throughout the competition. His overall score over the two days was +1 (141), winning the individual competition by four strokes.
 
Andrew Cordova was the next Wildcat on the leaderboard, finishing the event in sixth overall. After a +6 (76) on Monday, he carded a +5 (75) on Tuesday  to finish with a +11 (151).
 
Cooper Ware was the third LCU golfer up, putting in a +6 (76) on Monday and a +12 (82) on Tuesday to finish at +18 (158) and 14th overall.
 
The final LCU golfer to score was Clayton Ray, who finished in a tie for 23rd place after carding a +16 (86) on Monday and a +11 (81) on Tuesday.
 
The Wildcats return to Texas next week to take part in the Claud Jacobs Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M-Victoria, Monday and Tuesday at the Victoria Country Club.
