Francis Finishes Fifth, Ware Sinks Eagle At Hal Sutton Invitational

BOSSIER CITY, La. – The Louisiana Christian University men's golf program had its best showing of the spring season across Monday and Tuesday at the Hal Sutton Invitational hosted by Centenary as Blake Francis just missed the podium while Cooper Ware continues to show immense progress.
 
Francis put his best foot forward, potentially eyeing is second career RRAC Golfer of the Week in the process, earning his highest place of the campaign by tying for fifth with Cooper Camp of Jacksonville (Texas) CC by scoring a +5 (149) courtesy of seven birdies plus 19 pars, giving him positive result in an impressive 68.4% of holes (26-of-38).
 
Ware leapt five spots from the first to second round to end the event in 40th, posting a score of 170 strokes (+26) with the highlight being his eagle on hole 11 of round two, compiling six birdies on top of hitting even nine times.
 
One last regular season tournament awaits for the duo from April 7 and April 8 in Brenham, Texas with Blinn College playing host.
