ABITA SPRINGS, La. – The Louisiana Christian University men's golf program sent two of its individual student-athletes to compete in the first event of the spring semester with Blake Francis and Cooper Ware representing the Wildcats well.
 
Francis ended round one among the top-20 (19th) before finishing the tournament just inside the top-25 (23rd), putting together a trio of birdies in addition to 21 pars, resulting in an overall score of 154 or +10.
 
Ware wound up in 47th place by hitting a 165 over 36 holes or 21 over par, garnering two birdies to go along with hitting even 15 times.
 
The men from CenLa are back on the links in six days times during the Claud Jacobs Invitational in Victoria, Texas, hosted by UHV.
