PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University baseball program was originally scheduled to play its second road series of the season this weekend in Tyler, Texas against the Texas College Steers, however, field conditions in the surrounding areas and inclement weather expected in East Texas has forced a change of location as the three-game set will now take place in Pineville.
Â
Instead of playing its fourth through sixth contests outside of The Boot, the Orange and Blue will get to stay in the cozy comfort zone of the
Billy Allgood Field for their 18th, 19th, and 20th home ballgames of the year.
Â
The newest addition to the on-campus athletic calendar will be a Friday doubleheader starting at 3 p.m. then a single contest at noon on Saturday.
Â
Heading into the weekend, LCU has played as ungracious hosts all year long, going 14-3 (82.4%) on "The Hill" with its only setbacks being a pair of non-regional matchups against Saint Francis (Indiana) during the Louisiana Christian Challenge in addition to the opener of the Red River Rivalry in which the Generals of LSU Alexandria erased a ten-run hole to complete the comeback.
