KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The #23 Louisiana Christian University baseball team got it first All-American of the new NAIA era as
Kade Linn was named a second team All-American by the NAIA office on Thursday.
Linn, a graduate student right-handed pitcher from New Iberia, La., finished his third season at Louisiana Christian with a 10-1 record and a 2.40 ERA over 82.1 innings pitched. He struck out 109 batters throughout the season while walking just 25, averaging 11.91 strikeouts per nine innings while giving up 27 runs, 22 earned. Linn threw the final pitch in four games that he started throughout the season, two of which he kept the opponent from scoring any runs.
Opposing hitters had just a .213 batting average off the Mississippi College transfer. He also ended the year with a 1.08 WHIP. He had a season-high 12 strikeouts in three separate games throughout the season - against Central Methodist, Xavier, and in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round against Marian.
Linn was a three-time RRAC Pitcher of the Week during the 2026 season and was named First Team All-Conference.
LCU finished its season with a 37-15 record, 19-8 in the Red River Athletic Conference, and advanced to the finals of the Lawrenceville Bracket in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round. The Wildcats are ranked 23
rd in the final NAIA Top 25 Coached Poll of the 2026 season.
