Now that the regular season is over for the Louisiana College women's basketball team, it is time for the ladies to begin their postseason hunt for a title. With a season of ups and downs, the wildcard team that has been the Louisiana College Lady Wildcats begin their American Southwest Conference tournament to take on conference foe that got the better of them earlier in the season

The ladies will be taking on the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor on February 21, 2019 at 7:30 P.M in Belton, Texas at the Mayborn Campus Center to begin the tournament. The first contest did not favor the ladies, but they are looking to redeem themselves and the stakes are higher than ever.

In early January the Lady Wildcats took on Mary-Hardin Baylor a suffered a 96-67 loss. The loss was not what the ladies wanted, especially by such a sufficient margin, but redemption will be available come Thursday.

Mary-Hardin Baylor has been extremely efficient this year as a team. The team has a 23-2 overall record and are 15-1 in conference play. The game being at home also gives Mary-Hardin Baylor plenty of hope.

Leading the charge in what could be here last game ever as a Wildcat is senior guard Kourtney McGhee. She walks into the tournament averaging 14.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. She also will be looking for help from fellow senior guard Janae Smith who has been averaging an impressive 11.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.

The season has been up and down for the lady Wildcats. They finished the season with an underwhelming 11-13 overall record and 7-9 in conference play. The ladies have been full of fight all season and they look to continue their feisty streak as they take it straight to Belton, Texas this Thursday.
