WACO, Texas – The Louisiana Christian University women's basketball team picked up one last weekly award of the season with
Kylei Leblanc winning the final Red River Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week award the conference office announced on Monday.
Leblanc, a sophomore forward/center from Lake Charles, La. averaged eight rebounds – five defensive, 3.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game over a 1-1 week for the Wildcats as LCU closed out its 2025-26 season.
In Thursday's game at Southwest, Leblanc grabbed four rebounds – all defensive, blocked a shot, and came up with a steal while scoring 26 points in a 70-58 win over the Mustangs.
On Saturday, while scoring 23 points against North Texas-Dallas, Leblanc grabbed 16 rebounds – 10 on the defensive glass, came up with six steals, and blocked two Trailblazer shots.
She also averaged 23 points per game on 41.5 percent shooting in the two contests.
This is Leblanc's fourth career RRAC Defensive Player of the Week award, third of this season. She was named the NAIA's Defensive Player of the Week once this season as well, back on Jan. 20. She started her season with a RRAC Offensive Player of the Week award back on Nov. 10.
LCU finished its 2025-26 season with a 5-23 overall record, 4-18 in RRAC play.
