The Patriots enter the first ASC East weekend with an 8-6 record having split their last four games, including going 1-1 in their final ASC West weekend like the Wildcats. UTT suffered a 70-48 loss at Howard Payne last Thursday before cruising to a 95-49 win at Sul Ross State Saturday. Tyler's balanced offensive attack has four different players averaging double digit points on the season. Senior guard Alex Kochner leads the team with 12.1 points per game followed by sophomore Carissa Spiker with 11.1 per game. Kochner also leads the team in rebounds with an 8.6 per game average. The Patriots have the second highest scoring offense in the ASC, averaging 73.8 points per game on the conference best 42 percent field goal percentage. They are also one of just two team so far this season that have made more than 100 shots from behind the arc, with a 32.4 percent conversion, best in the ASC. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Herrington Patriot Center in Tyler, Texas.

Ozarks currently sits at the bottom of the ASC East standings with a 1-10 overall record and a winless conference mark through their trip in the ASC West Division. The Eagles picked up their lone win of the season in the second game of the season over Rhodes College 79-69, before beginning their current nine game losing skid. In their final ASC West competition weekend last week, they lost to Sul Ross State 84-57 and to Howard Payne 82-62. Junior guard Hailey Ostrander leads the team with a 12.3 point per game average this season while freshman Destinee Manning is the only player in the ASC averaging a double-double per game with 10.5 points and 13.2 rebounds per game. UO is shooting 37.4 percent from the field, 23.4 percent from behind the three-point line, and 61.0 percent from the free throw line. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon at Mabee Gymnasium in Clarksville, Arkansas.

Louisiana College  7-5 (3-3)  |  4th ASC East

The Wildcats finished their ASC West schedule with an even 3-3 record after splitting their weekend schedule once again last week, falling to Mary Hardin-Baylor before defeating Concordia on Saturday. LC displayed a dominant defensive effort in the win over Concordia, holding the Tornado without a successful field goal for more than 14 consecutive minutes of game time, which included the entire third quarter. Brooke Jones picked up her third East Division Player of the Week honor after another 20 point game and a 21.0 point average for the week. She is currently second in the conference in scoring with a 17.9 per game average and is in the top 10 in rebounding with a 7.3 per game average. Kourtney McGhee is the only other player in double figures on the year with a 13.0 game average as the Wildcats have spread their 70.8 points per game across the roster. The team has shot better from long range over the last two weeks but still have a conference worst 22.3 percent mark from there. They still have the sixth best field goal percentage at 38.5 percent on the year with the fifth best free throw mark at 66.1 percent.

The Wildcats make their first ASC East road trip of the season this week before playing their first home games of 2018 next week. LC will host rival East Texas Baptist next Thursday in the annual Fill the Fieldhouse night as LC plays their first conference games of the year at H.O. West Fieldhouse on campus.
