The Louisiana College Lady Wildcats, already having locked up the #3 seed in the American Southwest Tournament next week, dropped their final conference game of the season to 10th ranked Texas-Tyler on Saturday afternoon in Tyler, Texas by a final score of 100-73.

The Lady Wildcats, having already lost a heartbreaker to the Patriots earlier in the season, jumped out to a nine point lead nine minutes into the game when a pair of free throws from Danisha Allison put LC up 22-13 at the 11:09 mark of the first half.

But that lead would diminish quickly, as the Patriots went on a 10-0 run after Allison's free throws to take a 23-22 lead at the 8:55 mark and eventually go into the locker room with a narrow 37-33 lead.

UT-Tyler showed off their strength in the second half, however, as they shot an amazing 68.6% (24-35) from the field in the second half including a 61.5% (8-13) mark from behind the arc in the final 20 minutes to pull away from the Lady Cats.

Allison recorded yet another double-double on the day, as she went for 25 points, 11 rebounds, and three steals.

Senior Skylar Chenevert was the other Lady Wildcat in double figures with 15 points and three steals.

UT-Tyler had six players reach double figures in scoring with Makenzi May and Jasmin Baskin leading the way with 18 points each. All-American candidate Brittany King led the way with a game-high 16 rebounds.

With conference play over, Louisiana College will play on Monday against Rust College at home at 5:00 p.m. before taking on Mary Hardin-Baylor in the 1st round of the ASC Tournament on Thursday in Tyler, Texas.
