CLARKSVILLE, Ark. - The Louisiana College women won their 10th straight game here Monday afternoon, defeating Ozarks 81-56 to improve to 21-1 overall and 17-1 in the American Southwest Conference.
The Lady Cats, who have already locked up the ASC East Division crown, held a 49-29 lead at the half and were never threatened in the second session.
Sophomore Natosha Gottlieb was the offensive star of the game and scored a game-high 26 points.
Senior forward Tillisha Givens, a preseason All-American, logged a 17-rebound, 12-point double-double on the night with Kayla Guidry adding 13 points and Shasidy Ludgood seven in the win.
Ozarks (12-11, 8-10 ASC) was led by April Young with 18 points and Lacey Phillips with 10.
Monday's contest was a make-up game necessitated when LC was unable to reach Arkansas last week due to snow in the Clarksville area.
Next up for LC will be a visit to East Texas Baptist on Thursday night at 5:30 p.m followed by the conclusion of the regular season with a visit to Mississippi College on Jan. 22 at 5:30 p.m.
