Box Score
PINEVILLE, La. - The Louisiana College women met a team that played the same up-tempo style as they employ but had no trouble maintaining their undefeated record, sprinting to a 92-68 win over the Concordia (Texas) Tornadoes.

The Lady Wildcats (7-0, 5-0 American Southwest Conference) and Tornadoes (2-3, 2-2 ASC) were almost even in the tell-tale categories of the run and press game, steals and turnovers, with LC producing 12 steals while committing 23 turnovers and Concordia producing 11 steals while committing 24 turnovers.

In shooting percentage, however, it was all Lady Cats.

LC shot 46.4 percent from the field and 42.3 percent from three-point range while Concordia shot just 17.4 percent from three-point range and 34.2 percent from the field.

Four Louisiana College women reached double-figure scoring on the night.

Senior forward Tillisha Givens (Monroe, La./Ouachita Parish HS), the reigning Louisiana Sports Writers Association and ASC East Player of the Week, was good for 16 points, nine rebounds, two assists and a block.

Junior guard Roslyn Wilmer (Marksville, La./Marksville HS) led the team in scoring with 17 points to go along with four steals and three assists.

Senior shooting guard Janet Butler (Eros, La./West Ouachita HS) went 4-for-7 from three-point range to score all 12 of her points while senior forward Kayla Guidry (Alexandria, La./Peabody HS/UTEP) and senior guard Briana Lewis (Monroe, La./West Monroe HS) scored 15 points apiece.

Concordia's Shamika Singleton was a one-woman wrecking crew for the Tornadoes, scoring 32 points and pulling down 12 rebounds.

Next up for the LC women will be a 5:30 p.m. home showdown with Mary Hardin-Baylor on Dec. 16.
