WACO, Texas – The #20 Louisiana Christian University baseball team saw pitcher Kade Linn win his third Red River Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week award of 2026 following another dominant performance on the mound, the conference office announced on Monday.

Linn, a graduate student right-handed pitcher from New Iberia, La., held #7 LSU Shreveport without a run through 6.2 innings of work in LCU's 3-0 win over the Pilots in game one of Friday's doubleheader, spurring the Wildcats to a sweep of the twin bill and a series win over the defending national champions.

LSUS entered the series with the best team batting average in the RRAC and ninth-best in the NAIA and was the RRAC's second-best team and NAIA's sixth-best in terms of scoring, but Linn held the Pilots to just four hits and no runs in his outing, striking out eight Pilots while walking four.

This is Linn's RRAC lead-tying third Pitcher of the Week award, having also won it on Feb. 10 and April 7. It's also the first three RRAC weekly awards of his career.

Linn and the rest of the #20 Wildcats (34-10) face one last mid-week test before entering the 2026 Red River Athletic Conference Championship Tournament, hosting John Melvin on Wednesday. First pitch of Wednesday's contest against the Millers (27-12) is set for 6 p.m. at Billy Allgood Field.
