WACO, Texas – The Louisiana Christian University men's basketball team picked up a pair of postseason honors as both
Justice Kelly and
Bryce Weinmunson were named Second Team All-Conference while
Sam Wrenn was named to the Champions of Character team, the Red River Athletic Conference announced on Friday.
Kelly, a graduate student forward from Hammond, La., averaged 15.5 points per game on 52.2 percent shooting, 40.4 percent from three-point range.
He also grabbed 7.4 rebounds per game, gave out 1.5 assists per game, got 0.8 steals per game, and blocked 0.5 opposing shots per contest. He had six points-rebounds double-doubles throughout the season.
Kelly was named the RRAC's Offensive Player of the Week on Feb. 2. This is Kelly's first appearance on a RRAC All-Conference team.
Weinmunson, a senior guard from Ponchatoula, La., averaged 13.9 points per game on 39.6 percent shooting while hitting 30.5 percent from above the three-point arc.
He secured 5.7 rebounds per game, dished out 3.3 assists per game, and came up with 2.3 steals per game throughout the season.
This is Weinmunson's second-straight season being named Second Team All-RRAC.
Wrenn, a junior guard from Rayville, La., was honored with LCU's spot on the Conference's Champions of Character team as the player who best embodies the NAIA's five core values of its Champions of Character program – integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
