Oklahoma City—Louisiana Christian will begin the 2025 campaign in fifth place on the Sooner Athletic Conference Preseason Football Poll, as announced by the conference office Thursday morning. The poll was voted on by the league's head coaches.
The Wildcats garnered 33 points in the poll to put them in the fifth spot, just two points behind Texas College, which had 35 points. The Wildcats enter the season under second-year head coach
Ben McLaughlin and will look to bounce back after going 4-7 overall last season and a 3-5 conference mark.

Texas Wesleyan earned the No.1 slot in the poll with 64 points and eight first-place votes after finishing the 2024 campaign with an overall record of 10-1 and a perfect league record of 8-0.
OUAZ garnered the second spot on the list with 55 points as they earned the other first-place ballot with an overall record of 8-2 and a league mark of 7-1.
Langston garnered the third slot on the list with 48 points after tying for third last season with an overall mark of 6-4 and a conference record of 5-3.
Texas College gained the fourth spot on the list with 35 points after finishing a historic season in a tie for third place with an overall record of 7-3 and a league mark of 5-3.
Louisiana Christian will open the 2025 season on the road at McNeese State on Saturday, August 30, at 6 p.m. at Cowboy Stadium in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
