OKLAHOMA CITY – After setting a season high for receptions and career highs in yards and touchdowns in the Sooner Athletic Conference's Game of the Week, #16/#16 Louisiana Christian University football wide receiver Omarius Davis was named the SAC's Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.
 
Davis, a redshirt junior wide receiver from Largo, Fla., had a season high with seven receptions in #16/#16 Louisiana Christian's (6-1, 4-0 SAC) 42-27 win Saturday over (RV) Texas Wesleyan. With those seven catches, Davis gained 153 yards, setting a new career high. His two touchdowns in the game also tied a career high. The win over the Rams gave the Wildcats sole possession of first place in the SAC with four games remaining and the Wildcats already holding wins over two of the three teams currently tied for second place.
 
This is Davis's first career SAC Player of the Week award. This is the fourth week of the 2026 season where LCU has been represented with at least one SAC Player of the Week honor, taking a total of eight awards so far this year.
 
Davis and the rest of the Wildcats now head on the road for three-straight contests, starting this Saturday as Louisiana Christian heads to Waxahachie, Texas to take on Nelson. Kickoff of Saturday's contest against the Lions (1-5, 1-3 SAC) is set for 2 p.m. at Stuart B. Lumpkins Stadium and will be live streamed on YouTube thanks to 446Sports.
