Five Ladies Represent LCU On All-Conference Teams

WACO, Texas – The Louisiana Christian University softball program had plenty of student-athletes acknowledged on the night before the tournament as Lexi Broussard, Addison Greak, and Morgan Louviere earned Second Team nods while both Bella Houck and Emma Hunt were Honorable Mentions, with Hunt also being the Champions of Character Team recipient.

Broussard, a junior second baseman from Maurice, Louisiana, was top-20 in the NAIA and second in the league for hit-by-pitches (11) while finishing among the top-eight in the Red River regarding stolen bases (24), doubles (12), triples (2), and runs scored (41) in addition to topping the RRAC in defensive assists (86).

The first-time All-Conference selection also led the Wildcats in multi-RBI games (7), total bases (67) and RBIs (31) while hitting .333 at the dish.

Greak, a senior pitcher from Pearland, Texas, was the RRAC Pitcher of the Week on February 3 and wound up sixth in the conference with a 2.59 ERA while her eight victories in the circle was tenth-best (8-5). 

Another first-time honoree, the right-hander struck out 38 over 70.2 innings with three complete games and a shutout of Oklahoma Panhandle State.

Louviere, a senior pitcher from Opelousas, Louisiana, followed Greak's RRAC Pitcher of the Week accolade the following week (February 10).

The former Angelina College Roadrunner was a shutdown closer with the 13th-most saves in the NAIA (3), was third in the conference with an ERA under two (1.69), and sixth in the RRAC sporting a 1.22 WHIP.

She led the Cats in win-loss percentage (75%), batting average against (.246), as well as appearances (21).

Houck, a graduate student first baseman from Leesville, Louisiana, won the final RRAC Player of the Week award of 2025 and was one of the best defenders in the country with the 15th-most putouts (295).

The three-time all-conference player displayed patience at the plate with the sixth-highest number of walks (19) on top of pop in her bat with the tenth-most doubles (12) and sacrifice flies (2).

She was also the leader in the clubhouse for longest on-base streak (16) and hitting streak (12), both currently active, multi-hit games (15), total bases (67), batting average (.386), on-base percentage (.465), and base hits (51).

Hunt, a senior outfielder from Denham Springs, Louisiana, broke the program's career stolen base record at 112 and counting while being a perfect lead-off hitter via the second-most walks in the league (24) and fourth-highest amount of steals (31).

The two-time All-Conference performer logged 13 games with multiple knocks and had an 11-game on-base streak at one point in 2025.

The speedster who broke Briley Johnston's all-time mark after a four-year reign also made the Champions of Character Team.

Come out to Wildcat Park all week long to support Coach Roberts' sixth-seeded squad, starting with LCU's First Round showdown with third-seeded Texarkana Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Thursday evening.
