WACO, Texas – The Louisiana Christian University baseball program picked up its first sweep of 2025 over the weekend by dispatching the Southwest (New Mexico) Mustangs and the offense's leading hitter was rewarded as such as Harrison Waxley became the first Wildcat to win RRAC Player of the week this season and his second accolade of this magnitude, the other coming in his LCU debut for the week of January 30, 2024.
 
Waxley, a redshirt sophomore from Bossier City, Louisiana, set a career-high with five hits in the game three walk-off winner while recording a career-high five assists playing third base in game two.
 
He led the Wildcats in hits (8), RBIs (6), and doubles (3) in addition to a team-best eight assists in the field.
 
The 2024 RRAC Freshman of the Year / RRAC Tournament Gold Glover slashed .500 (AVG) / .529 (OBP) / .688 (SLG), totaling 11 bases plus two runs scored and a hit-by-pitch.
 
LCU hosts Wiley University on Tuesday night at 5 p.m. before heading down to New Orleans for a three-game series at Xavier with game one on Thursday at 5 p.m. followed by a 1/4 p.m. doubleheader on Friday inside Skelly-Rupp Stadium.
