PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University men's basketball program had several chances to defeat its highest-ranking opponent in the squad's 116-season existence, however a subpar perimeter shooting evening (2-of-16, 12.5%) ultimately allowed the fourth-ranked LSUA Generals to sneak out of town with a 71-63 win.
Something had to give when these two teams clashed as the Purple and Gold visitors ran their winning streak to 12-in-a-row while the Orange and Blue Cats saw its six-game heater snapped.

Wildcats Top Performers:
- Devin Carter was the offense for Head Coach Reni Mason, accounting for just under half of the team's overall production with a season-high 30 points (47.6%) over a personal-best 37 minutes in large part to 14 made free throws out of 15 (93.3%).
- Jon'Quarius McGhee has now reached double-digits on the scoreboard for the fifth consecutive night and the sixth time in the club's last seven, marking the only other Wildcat with more than six points at an even ten points.
- Chukwuemeke Nwaoshai or "JJ" as his teammates call him, went for ten-plus rebounds for the seventh time this campaign, hitting that exact number by way of an absurd eight offensive boards to lead the Cats while tying his season-best of three blocks.
- Bryce Weinmunson was the only homestanding student-athlete with a single assist, dishing out all three of LCU's dimes and was the lone person with multiple steals (2) as well.
- Corey Lombard was the third-leading scorer for Louisiana Christian, averaging a point per 30 seconds on the floor courtesy of six points in 12 minutes of action.
