PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University men's basketball program did something it had not accomplished in the 21st century on Saturday, sweeping the LSU Shreveport Pilots for the first time in nearly 30 years during a convincing 93-79 triumph.

The offense has been the primary reason for the club's surge back to .500 (10-10), going off for season-highs regarding field goals (37), field goal percentage (53.6%), points (93), and assists (25).

- Omarion Layssard was a man on a mission Saturday, popping off for a career-best 19 points and nine buckets, connecting on 75% of his attempts with one of those being a thunderous put-bank slam on a missed triple.

- Konnor DeJean saw approximately 12 minutes of floor time, but in his limited appearance he went on to rack up a season and contest-high six dimes.

- Devin Carter put together his eighth outing with at least 20 or more points by topping the team at 22 over 9-for-20 (45%) shooting plus he tied a campaign-most for assists with five in addition to four boards.

- Chukwuemeke Nwaoshai cashed in on double-double number three, his first since mid-December, snatching a game-high 12 rebounds on top of ten points, missing just once in five field goal tries (80%).

- Joseph Holloway did not miss on the afternoon, draining each of his six shots on his way to 13 points while Corey Lombard got to ten on the scoresheet despite playing all of 13 minutes.

- Jon'Quarius McGhee and Bryce Weinmunson fronted the defense with three steals apiece, McGhee also adding nine points and seven boards to the ledger while Weinmunson dished out a season-most five dimes.
