Spring Break Schedule

4/1/2024 9:00:00 AM

PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University athletics program has plenty of home events over the break for the local community as well as any students that did not head home for the week as the Wildcats will play 11 home games between Monday and Saturday with all but one of the teams headed to "The Hill" being in the national rankings.

Monday, April 1:

It is not a joke or an April Fool's Day prank, women's tennis will play its first home match in over three weeks at 2 p.m. on Monday afternoon when the postponed March 15 matchup with the 12th-ranked Loyola (New Orleans) Wolfpack is made up.

Tuesday, April 2:

Keep an eye on the forecast for this one, but be loud, be proud, and wear your best light blue attire as the Wildcats softball team hosts its Autism Awareness doubleheader at 5 and 7 p.m. when the Red River Rivals from (RV) LSUA trek across the bridge.

Thursday, April 4:

Tennis adds an additional three home contests to its ledger courtesy of the LSU Alexandria Tournament, beginning with Thursday's match against #21 Our Lady of the Lake scheduled for a 9 a.m. first serve.

Friday, April 5:

The only non-ranked foe to make its way to campus will be the Texas A&M-Texarkana Eagles tennis team, who play Coach Starkova's ladies at 9 a.m. early Friday morning.

Baseball begins possibly its biggest regular season weekend series in school history with a clash under the Friday night lights against #2 LSU Shreveport at 6 p.m. inside Billy Allgood Field.

Saturday, April 6:

Tennis makes its final appearance at Richard L. Crowell Tennis Center in 2024 on Saturday morning opposite the Xavier (Louisiana) Gold Nuggets, ranked 5th in the NAIA, also early in the a.m.

The Diamond Cats of the softball field look to make the Southwest (New Mexico) Mustangs' visit as far East as the RRAC slate allows a miserable experience when the squads square off at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. twin bill.

The potential Red River Athletic Conference regular season deciding set wraps up at noon and 3 p.m. on Saturday afternoon as the Cats try to sink the white-hot Pilots before they reach their docking destination.
