PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University athletics program recognizes baseball's Zac Bacilla and softball's Bella Houck as this week's LCU Student-Athletes of the Week, the latter being named RRAC Player of the Week.
 
Bacilla, a redshirt sophomore from Opelousas, Louisiana, had a career weekend versus Texas College, going 4-for-5 (.800) with three runs scored, two doubles, and an RBI on top of a putout in the outfield.
 
Houck, a graduate student from Leesville, Louisiana, won the award once before back on April 10, 2023. The first baseman extended her career-long hitting (12) and on-base streaks (16) while tying her career-high with three RBIs in the game two win at JCU. She led the Wildcats in slugging percentage (1.000), total bases (6), defensive putouts (6), RBIs (4), hits (4), doubles (2) and walks (1) while stealing her fourth career base.
 
The guys will need to embrace the underdog role once again in order to win back-to-back RRAC Tournament Titles as the Pineville Nine will be the sixth seed with a 2024 Championship Game rematch kicking things off at 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
