PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University athletics program has a pair of underdogs with championship DNA eager to fight for their seasons to continue beginning on Thursday when both the baseball and softball tournaments start simultaneously in "The Boot".
   
The sixth-seeded ladies will host the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament for the second straight season but plan on keeping it on-campus at Wildcat Park with their First Round matchup coming against the third-seeded and NAIA's #24 team, Texas A&M-Texarkana, at 5:30 p.m. Thursday evening while the squad will most likely need to knock off at least three ranked opponents if they hope to capture their first championship since the 2010 ASC title.
 
Baseball is just one spot lower than they were in 2024 when they made their memorable run to the trophy, also opening against the TAMUT Eagles in another #6 vs. #3 contest during the newly formatted tournament where there will be two separate brackets (A & B) with the winners of the round robin double elimination competitions playing each other in a single winner-take-all showdown.
