  • Andrew Yuratich pitched well, putting together a solid five innings of work with a half-dozen Ks while Colton Williams went three-up and three-down in his lone frame including one punchout.

  • Braden Trull sent his first baseball into orbit as a collegian, sending a laser soaring over the left-centerfield wall for a two-run blast. He added another RBI single and a pair of scores to his stat line for the evening.

  • LSUA must have been watching game film of Tyler McKenna tearing the cover off the ball as they wanted no part of the powerful catcher, walking him three times as he came around to score on one of those.

  • Braxton Cooksey tied with Trull for the RBI crown for the Wildcats, also bringing three runners to the dish with an RBI single, groundout, plus a sacrifice fly.

  • Hunter Gotreaux reached safely on three separate occasions, once on a painful hit-by-pitch and the others on base knocks.

  • Harrison Waxley hit .500 on the night during a 2-for-4 showing, crossing the plate thrice, driving in two, and drawing a ball four.

  • Over nine innings and 13 hits, there were only three that went for extra bases as far as Louisiana Christian was concerned; Trull's round-tripper, a Gabe Spedale double, and a Nicholas Brunet two-bagger.
