ALEXANDRIA, La. - The Louisiana Christian University softball program was originally scheduled to take on a trio of top-notch teams this weekend as part of the LSU Alexandria General Showdown, however, due to the imminent rain in the forecast, the Wildcats will only be able to partake in one matchup.

When the tournament was revealed, LCU was slated to take on McPherson at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Cottey at 11 a.m. on Saturday, followed by Texas Wesleyan after the clash with the Comets. Now, the Orange and Blue will take on Cottey College in the same date and time slot as the contest with the Bulldogs, 4:30 p.m. Friday afternoon inside the Champions Sportsplex.
