PINEVILLE – The Wildcats of Louisiana Christian University concluded their regular season on a winning note Saturday as they defeated Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) 3-0 to complete a three-game weekend sweep of their non-conference series.

Blake Windham combined for a one-hit performance as the Wildcats (34-13) gave the 13 seniors on their roster a perfect sendoff on Senior Day.

The Wildcats (34-13) won their fourth consecutive game. LCU heads to the upcoming Red River Athletic Conference postseason tournament as the No. 2-seeded team at the event.

Peyton Lamartiniere's RBI doubles in the first and fifth innings – each time scoring
Nick Moreau – provided the bulk of LCU's offense in the game.
Ju'Juan Franklin added an RBI in the fifth when his groundout scored
Nicholas Brunet from third base.

LCU's Nos. 2, 3, and 4 hitters – Moreau, Brunet, and Lamartiniere – accounted for nine of the Wildcats' 10 hits, combining to 9-for-12 in the game. Lamartiniere went 3-for-4 with three doubles, while Moreau went 4-for-4 at the plate.

Meanwhile, Cooksey struck out seven batters over seven complete innings to improve his season record to 5-2. SAGU's Bryson Collins two-out single in the top of the first was the only hit Cooksey yielded in the contest.

Ramirez pitched a one-two-three eighth inning for the 'Cats. He then gave the ball to Windham, who retired three out of the four batters he faced to earn his second save of the season.
