PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University athletics program recognizes men's basketball's
Drew Tebbe and women's basketball's
Deja Tanks as this week's LCU Student-Athletes of the Week as the men fell in its lone game on Black Friday against Central Baptist at a neutral site while the women played its final exhibition of the season at Louisiana-Monroe on Tuesday.
Â
Tebbe, a sophomore guard from O'Fallon, Illinois, was absolutely brilliant on a day where not much went right for LCU, setting personal/game-bests for minutes (38), points (20) and field goals (7) while also knocking down both of his three-pointers for his first multi-triple contest (which were the only two makes from distance for the team as a whole) vs. the Mustangs.
Â
Tanks, a junior forward from Lake Charles, Louisiana, did not play a countable game last week but still made her presence felt against the NCAA DI Warhawks, putting together a double-double of a Wildcats-best 13 points and 10 rebounds on 5-of-12 (41.7%) with a block in just 20 minutes on the floor.
