PINEVILLE – Inclement weather in Central Louisiana this week is forcing a schedule change to this weekend's baseball exhibition series between Louisiana Christian University and John Melvin University.

The series will now begin Saturday with a doubleheader and conclude with a single game Sunday. Saturday's doubleheader will begin at 2 p.m., with Sunday's game scheduled to start at 1 p.m.

All games in the series are scheduled for seven innings and will be played at Billy Allgood Field on the LCU campus.

The Wildcats are coming off a four-game weekend sweep of Dillard (La.), a Gulf Coast Athletic Conference member institution that began its baseball program in time for the start of the 2023 season.
