WACO, Texas – After a week where he took over the NAIA leader in scoring average, Louisiana Christian University men's basketball player Kae'ron Baker picked up his fifth Red River Athletic Conference Player of the Week award the conference office announce on Monday.

Baker, a graduate guard from Navasota, Texas, raised his season scoring average to a NAIA-best 25.6 points per game after scoring 32 and 24 points against Jarvis Christian and Texas College, respectively, during the previous week. He shot 48.7% from the field in the two games as the Wildcats got back to an even mark in conference play and within one game of .500 before Monday night's win at Xavier.

This is Baker's tenth career Player of the Week award, fifth from the RRAC for this season added to five previous awards from the American Southwest Conference. He has scored 1,860 points while wearing the orange and blue.

Baker and the Wildcats (12-12, 7-6 RRAC) head into the final weekend of the regular season looking to lock down a spot in the RRAC Tournament. They look to make it two wins in a row on Thursday as the Wildcats head to Dallas to take on Paul Quinn. Tip-off of Thursday's game against the Tigers (21-1, 10-1 RRAC) is set for 7:30 P.M., or approximately 25 minutes following the end of the women's game, at the PQC Tiger's Den.
