The Comets enter Saturday's game with the Wildcats winners of 10 of their last 11 games on the season, eight of those coming in conference play. A 28 percent shooting effort and their third game in five days contributed to the Comets 67-55 loss to Concordia on Monday night of this week, their only loss during 2018. The responded with an easy 75-57 win over Belhaven on Thursday to maintain their top spot in the ASC East standings. Sophomore guard Victoria Pena leads the team with 15.7 points per game, the only player in double digits in scoring on the team. She also ranks third in the ASC in scoring with her total. While the Comets rank in the middle of the pack in the conference in terms og scoring, 63.9 points per game, they top the ASC in defense, holding opponents to just 53.1 points per game. That is the second best scoring margin in the conference at almost 11 points. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at the UTD Activity Center in Richardson, Texas.

Louisiana College  10-7 (6-5)  |  4th ASC East

The Wildcats picked up their second win in a row and 10th of the season on Monday night in the victory over Belhaven. It was also the second game in a row where the Wildcats scored over 80 points, the first such streak of the season. The Wildcats maintained their third spot in the ASC scoring ranks with the two wins, pushing their average to 70.5 on the season, one of three teams averaging more than 70 per game. The Wildcats have also been shooting the ball batter over the last two games, hoping to carry that form into this weekend and the rest of the season. Their two best single game shooting efforts have come in the past two games, including a 52.5 percent effort on Monday night. Brooke Jones and Kourtney McGhee continue to lead the offensive output for LC at 16.9 and 13.1 points per game respectively.

The Lady Wildcats close their road schedule with the game on Saturday and begin a six-game home stand to end the regular season. LC hosts UT Dallas next Thursday at Rapides Coliseum and Belhaven the following Monday, before two games at H.O. West Fieldhouse the following weekend.
