The Louisiana College men's and women's basketball teams will travel to conference rival East Texas Baptist on Saturday for their third ASC matchups of the week. The Lady Wildcats are 1-1 so far this week in conference play with a victory over Sul Ross Thursday night and a two point loss on a last second shot from Howard Payne on Tuesday and sit at 3-3 in ASC play, putting them at fourth in the Eastern Division. The LC men are still searching for their first conference victory of the season after losses to Howard Payne and Sul Ross this week, the Wildcats have lost four games in a row, all in conference, and sit at the bottom of the ASC East standings, but just 3.5 games out of first place.

ETBU enter the game Saturday on a two game winning streak with victories over Schreiner last week and Rust College this week, their first two wins of the season.  They are currently 0-5 in conference play and 2-10 overall.  The Tigers have only one player averaging more than 10 points per game with freshman Hannah Holt, who also leads the team with 2.3 assists per game.  The Tigers leading rebounder is 5'11" senior Delia Hopkins.  As a team ETBU averages 65.7 points per game while allowing 73.0 points per game to their opponents. They are shooting 38.0% from the field and 68.5% from the free throw line.
The Lady Wildcats are a last second 3-pointer away from being 4-2 in conference play after Howard Payne pulled off the dramatic finish in Tuesday's game. LC snapped a streak of five consecutive losses with their win over Sul Ross on Thursday night, 66-53, their first win since early December.
Brooke Jones continues to lead the charge for the Wildcats on the scoreboard, averaging 11.8 points per game, the only Lady Wildcats with more than 10, Jones also leads the team in rebounds per game with 7.2. Â Freshman
Kristen Breaux sits just outside the 10 point per game average at 9.6 per game. The offensive numbers have been on the upswing of late for the Wildcats 74.3 points over their last four conference games. The Wildcats are shooting 38.7% from the field during that stretch.Â

The Tigers enter Saturday's game with a 9-3 record on the season and a 2-3 mark in conference play. They have two winning streaks this season of four games or more, having just picked up their fifth straight win on their current streak, over Rust on Tuesday of this week. Between the two winning streaks the Tigers lost three games in a row, all in ASC play. The Tigers potent offense ranks fourth in the ASC with an 84.7 point per game average and field goal percentage at 47.0, just ahead of the Wildcats. ETBU has two players averaging double digit points, Jordan Quillan at 14.8 and Dylan Augustine at 10.6 per game. Quillan also leads the team, and ranks fifth in the conference, in rebounding with 8.0 boards per game.Â
The Wildcats have had a tough stretch of games over the last month of action. After their 103-88 victory over Rust College on December 10, LC has lost their last four games in a row, all in ASC action. Despite the losses, senior Raheem Regis continues to perform well for the Wildcats. He has score 10 or more points in seven consecutive games, including a stretch of three straight 20 plus points per game. He leads the team in scoring at 16.8 points per game, ninth most in the conference, and rebounds at 7.1 per game, 11th best in the conference. LC is averaging 74.4 points per game and allowing 77.2 to their opponent, fourth lowest in the ASC.Â
The Lady Wildcats will tip off against ETBU at 1pm on Saturday afternoon in Marshall with the men's game following at 3pm. LC will return home for a matchup with Concordia on Tuesday night. The location of the game will be determined on Monday, tip off for the games are 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm Tuesday evening. Â
