Baseball Finishes Season with Loss to ETBU

The Wildcats finished the 2016 season at home Saturday afternoon. After recognizing 6 graduating seniors before the game LC did what they've done all year, battle to the very end. Seniors Tyler Dixon, Brandon Estrada, Cody McNeal, Grant Burns, Tripp Davis, and Tim Griffith were honored for the time and commitment they have show to Louisiana College baseball.

A Kiefer Moore double in the bottom of the third inning started the Wildcat scoring as Sully Martin crossed the plate to tie the game 1-1. ETBU would jump out to a 5-1 lead in the fourth thanks to two Wildcat errors and a couple of wild pitches that allowed runners to advance bases. LC would add single runs in the 5^th, 7^th, and 8^th innings on a Logan Phillips single, a Sully Martin double, and a Tyler Lamers sacrifice fly respectively.

Sully Martin and Kiefer Moore both went 2-4 in the game with an RBI apiece. The Wildcats used a total of 10 pitchers in the game each going 1.0 inning apiece, except for Trip Davis who was saddled with the loss without recording an out.

The Wildcats finished the season with an overall record of 13-25 and 8-16 in ASC play and will miss the conference tournament for second consecutive season after making the tournament 9 out of 10 years starting in 2005.
