Box Score 4 Louisiana College opened up the 2016 season with two doubleheaders vs. Centenary College.  The first was Friday, February 5th, in Shreveport.  
In game 1, Louisiana College was held to 3 hits and 1 run by Centenary, taking the loss 1-5.  Wildcat 
Deauton Delgado had a double, 
Sully Martin stole two bases, and 
Zane Corbell stole one himself.  Centenary had 7 hits and scored 5 runs.  
Austin Thompson recored the loss for the Wildcats.
In game 2, the Wildcats bats woke up, recording 9 hits, but left 7 on base and losing by a score of 1-6.  
Sully Martin and 
Zane Corbell were the Wildcats that recorded multiple hits with each having 2 a piece.  They each stole a base as well.  Centenary had 8 hits, but capitalized on them by scoring 6 runs and leaving only 3 on base.
The next day, the teams traveled back to Pineville for the Wildcat's first home doubleheader.  This was a day of recognition for many great off the field acts by the Wildcats.  Billy Nungesser, Lt. Governor, threw out the first pitch before game 1.  
In game 1, Louisiana College recored eight hits, but left six on base and scored two runs.  
Logan Phillips had two hits, including a double.  
Dylan Keller added two hits of his own.  Centenary scored thirteen runs on twelve hits, giving the Wildcats a loss by the score of 2-13.
In game 2, the Wildcats scored three runs in the bottom of the 6th to close the gap, trailing Centenary 3-5.  The score stayed the same until the top of the 9th when Centenary scored two runs, and blanked LC, stopping their comeback and handing them a 3-7 loss.  LC scored three runs on six hits with ten on base.  Centenary scored seven runs on seven hits and six left on base.  
Logan Phillips had two hits, including one double.  
Ashton Martin had two RBI's on one hit.  
Call Florence got the loss for the Wildcats, going five innings, and giving up four hits, four walks, and 4 runs, however only two were earned.  
The Wildcats play another doubleheader on Monday, February 8th, against Loyola University New Orleans at home starting at 2:00 p.m.
