Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 The Louisiana College baseball team (4-8, 2-1) won two games in a three game series over this past weekend against the Howard Payne University Yellowjackets.

LC won game 1 in the series in walk off fashion, 5-4.  Tripp Davis (2-1) got the win for the Cats, pitching 2.2 innings and striking out 6 Yellowjackets.  Trey Ducote had a solid outing in the no decision, going 5 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs while striking out 6.  Sully Martin led the Cats, going 3-4 with a double and scoring two runs.  Zane Corbell came through as well, knocking Sully in twice while going 2-2 with 2 doubles and 2 RBIs and scoring 1 run himself.  Kiefer Moore and Deauton Delgado both had an RBI a piece.

Garrett Parker led off the bottom of the 9th as the score was tied 4-4.  Parker doubled to left.  Logan Krajcer pinch ran for Parker, and Ashton Martin laid down a sacrifice bunt.  The Yellowjacket defense made an error trying to rush to throw Martin out at first, causing Krajcer to score from first base to seal up the win.

In game 2 of the series, Howard Payne ended up on the winning side of a close game, handing LC a 5-6 loss.  Charlie Waddingham (0-1) got the loss for the Wildcats.  Taylor Falgoust came in for two innings to shut down HPU, only giving up 1 hit.  Offensively, LC totalled 11 hits.  Tyler Lamers had an amazing game, going 3-4 with a HR and 3 RBI's.  Austin Futrell went 2-4 with a run scored, and Deauton Delgado went 1-3 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored.

In game 3, The Wildcats dominated all phases of the game.  The main highlight was Sully Martin, who along with getting 2 hits, 1 RBI, and 1 run, stole 4 bases which tied the ASC single game record.  Martin stole 7 bases in the series, giving him 12 stolen bases for the season.  Five different Cats had 1 RBI a piece: Sully Martin, Tim Griffith, Cody McNeal, Garrett Parker, and Tyler Lamers.  C. McNeal also had 2 hits.  Not to be overshadowed by the Wildcat offense, Call Florence (1-1) had a spectacular outing, going 6+ innings, giving up only 1 run, on 3 hits, striking out 3, and only walking 3.  Austin Taylor came in pitching the final 2+ innings and gave up no runs on 2 hits.
