Lady Wildcats (5-7) go on the road for the first time in 2016, but the end result is the same, defeating Belhaven (6-9) 79-56.  

A close first quarter ended with the Cats leading 21-20.  Great defense led the way in the 2nd, leaving Louisiana College heading into the locker at the half with a 44-31 lead.  Wildcats outscored the Blazers in a highly competitive 3rd quarter 17-16, to leave the score heading into the fourth quarter 61-47.  The Cats took any thought of a comeback away from the Blazers, doubling up the Blazers 18-9 in the 4th quarter, leaving the final score at 79-56.

Brooke Jones led the Lady wildcats with a double-double, scoring 18 points and pulling down 10 boards.  Kortney Kling added a double-double of her own, with 16 points and 12 rebounds.  Kourtney Mcghee rounded out the high scores with 17 points.

The Lady Wildcats return to Pineville onThursday, January 21st, to face the University of the Ozarks.  The game tips off at 5:30 p.m.
