Bo Ockman.
The Wildcats got out to a quick 1-0 lead in game one when an RBI single from freshman right fielder
Dylan Keller, his first career hit, drove in fellow freshman shortstop
James Santiago to give LC the early advantage in the bottom of the second inning.
LC would then enjoy a big third inning, as they collected five hits that plated four runs to give them a 5-0 lead.
Senior
Mark Riendeau started the scoring with an RBI bunt single down the first base to score freshman centerfielder
Sully Martin. LC then scored on an error and plated two more runs on an RBI double from
Jermaine Liggins and another RBI single from Keller.
Senior catcher
Garrett Parsons brought home LC's final run of the day when he led off the bottom of the fifth inning with his fourth home run of the season over the left center field wall.
The Yellow Jackets would fight back in the top of the seventh inning with three runs to make the game close, but senior
Lane Noakes was able to come on in relief of freshman starter
Tyler Lamers to close the game out for his second save of the year and preserve the 6-4 win.
Lamers picked up the win to go to 2-2 on the season while Keller led the Cats at the plate by going 2-for-3 with 2 RBI and a stolen base.
Ockman was the story of game two, as he gutted out  a tremendous pitchingÂ
performance to led LC to the 2-1 and the doubleheader sweep.
The sophomore right-hander tosses eight inning and gave up just four hits while striking out 10 and not giving up an earned run to earn his first win of the season.
Senior lefty
Ron Anders picked up his first save of the season after closing things out in the ninth by facing the minimum to secure the win.
The Wildcats scored their only runs of game two in the bottom of the second on a 2 RBI single to right field from
Jermaine Liggins that scored Santiago and Parsons.
LC moves to 5-7 on the season and 3-5 in ASC play. The two teams will play on Sunday at noon in the final game of the three game set at Billy Allgood Field in Pineville.Â
