The Louisiana College baseball team was swept in Friday's doubleheader against the Concordia Tornados, falling in game one 4-0 before the Tors took game two by a 7-4 final at Tornado Field in Austin, Texas.

Game one was dominated by Concordia right-hander Cameron Cox, who tossed a complete game, three-hit shutout to lead the Tors to a 4-0 win in the series opener.

Despite falling behind 4-1 early in game two, the Cats would fight back to tie the game with a three-run frame in the top of the sixth inning and seemingly regain the momentum.

But Concordia would answer immediately with a three-run frame of their own in the bottom of the seventh to take the lead for good at 7-4, which was the eventual final score.

The two teams will square off again in the series finale on Saturday at noon in Austin.
