West Fieldhouse in Pineville, Louisiana.
After the Lady Wildcats took a convincing 37-24 lead into the half, the Lady Jackets would come out on fire in the second half, making a 10-2 run from the 16:23 mark to the 11:48 mark of the second half to pull within four points at 45-41.
But that would be all the Lady Cats would allow, as they dominated from that point forward, going on a remarkable 20-0 run over the next seven minutes to take a 65-41 lead at the 4:54 mark on a
Kaci Willis three-pointer.
The Lady Cats were dominant on the glass and in the post all game, outrebounding the Lady Jackets 55-35 and outscoring them in the paint 32-22.
LC's bigs were nearly unstoppable down low as well, as Allison and freshman center
Brooke Jones connected on 14 of their 18 shots on the night.
Allison finished the game with 28 points and 13 rebounds, going 11-14 from the field and 6-8 from the free throw line to lead the Lady Wildcats.
Senior Latoya Evans was the other Lady Wildcat in double figures, as she scored 13 points on 4-7 shooting from the field.
The win kept the Lady Cats (15-5 overall, 12-5 in ASC play) firmly in third place in the conference standings, as they are now a full three games ahead of Hardin-Simmons (11-11, 9-8) and Howard Payne (12-10, 9-8), who are tied for fourth in the ASC.
Texas-Tyler (22-1, 17-1) continues to roll away with the ASC regular season title while Texas-Dallas (18-4, 14-3) remains within striking distance for LC in second place with three conference games remaining.
The Lady Cats will play their final regular season conference game at home this Saturday when they take on Sul Ross State at 1:00 p.m. in the H.O. West Fieldhouse.Â
