The Louisiana College Lady Wildcats dropped their final pre-ASC contest to Division I McNeese State on Tuesday night by a final score of 73-59 to the Cowgirls in Lake Charles.

It was an impressive outing for the Lady Wildcats, as their young roster showed tremendous toughness against a quality Division I opponent on the road, as McNeese came into the contest at 4-1 on the season.

LC held McNeese to 43.8% (28-64) shooting from the field and forced 17 turnovers.

Sophomore center Brooke Jones had the finest game of her career against the Cowgirls, making 5 of her 8 shots from the field to finish with 12 points and 7 rebounds.

The Lady Cats also had their best night of shooting from the perimeter all season, going 6-for-14 from behind the 3-point line, led by Rydeja McQuarn and Josie Broussard who both made two each.

Louisiana College will open ASC play on Thursday night at home, as they host Hardin-Simmons at 5:30 p.m in the H.O. West Fieldhouse.
