Marshall, TX - The Louisiana College Lady Wildcats could not match the interior post strength of the East Texas Baptist Lady Tigers on Thursday night in Marshall, Texas, as ETBU outmuscled the Lady Cats down low to take a 78-68 win in American Southwest Conference play.
 
The Lady Tigers outrebounded the Lady Wildcats 53-35 on the night, which resulted in a 16-6 advantage in second chance points for ETBU.
 
LC was unable to find their rhythm from outside the arc, as they shot just 7.7% (1-for-13) from beyond the arc despite forcing 29 ETBU turnovers.
 
The loss overshadowed yet another tremendous effort from LC's Kortney Kling, as she continued to show her improved all-around game by going for 16 points, 6 rebounds, and a game-high 8 steals.
 
Kourtney McGhee (11 points), Rydeja McQuarn (10 points), and Brooke Jones (12 points, 9 rebounds) also reached double figures in scoring for the Lady Wildcats.
 
ETBU's April Leonard led all scorers with 21 points for the Lady Tigers.
 
Louisiana College (0-6 overall, 0-2 in ASC play) will get a break from ASC play on Saturday as they travel to Mississippi to take on Division I Mississippi Valley State at 5 p.m. before making the trip to Alpine, Texas on December 19^th to take on Sul Ross State.
