Despite forcing 29 turnovers, the Louisiana College Lady Wildcats fell to St. Thomas University 71-60 on Saturday afternoon in Georgetown, Texas as part of the annual Southwestern University Classic.

The Lady Cats held St. Thomas to just 41.4% (29-70) shooting from the field, but LC was ultimately outdone on the boards, as St. Thomas outrebounded the Lady Cats 60-39 which resulted in 44 points in the paint and 21 second chance points for UST.

Kourtney McGhee (15 points) and Rydeja McQuarn (15 points, 4 steals) led LC in scoring while Josey Broussard added 10 points and 7 rebounds.

The Lady Cats will be on the court again on Sunday afternoon, as they take on host team Southwestern University at 2 p.m.
