Abilene, TX - The hot bats of Hardin-Simmons came out again against Louisiana College on Saturday in Abilene, TX, as the Cowboys completed a three-game series sweep of the Wildcats with a 19-7 win in the series finale.

After collecting a total of 36 runs and 38 hits in Friday's doubleheader sweep, the Cowboys picked up where they left off on Saturday, banging out 17 more hits, six of which were for extra bases.

The Wildcats were able to grab an early 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning when a Garrett Parsons double off of HSU starting pitcher Matt Rhodes scored Jermaine Liggins and Kyle Feazell.

HSU would immediately take the lead back  at 5-2 in the bottom half of the second inning, but the Wildcats would show a lot of fight offensively, as Feazell's solo home run in the top of third followed by a three-run frame in the top of the fourth got the game back to a 6-6 tie in heading into the bottom of the fourth.

However, that was the final time that LC would be within striking distance, as the Cowboys exploded for six more runs in the bottom of the fourth, highlighted by a three-run bomb off the bat of Colson Craddick.

HSU would then go on to add six runs in the fifth inning and one run in the sixth inning to run away with the 19-7 win.

Feazell, Parsons, and Cary Myers all collected two hits a piece for LC while freshman outfielder Bradley Robinson made the most of his first career start in a Wildcat uniform, as he led LC with three RBI at the plate.

The loss dropped LC's season record to 14-22 overall and 13-17 in ASC play, which places them a deadlock with Hardin-Simmons for seventh place in the ASC standings. The Wildcats' chances at making the ASC Tournament may come down to winning next week's series against rival East Texas Baptist in a three-game set scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. in Pineville, LA.
