Game One Box Score

The Wildcat pitching staff dominated in game one, as four pitchers combined to toss a shutout while transfer catcher
Garrett Parsons delivered a game-winning RBI single to give the Wildcats the 1-0 win.

Senior staff ace
Madison Lachney picked up where he left off a season ago, starting the game and going the first three innings while giving up just one hit. Sophomore left hander
Tyler Dixon picked up the win by going three innings in relief, giving up one hit, striking out one, and walking none.

The Wildcats got their only run of the game in the fourth inning when
Mark Riendeau drilled a two out double to left field and was driven home by Parsons to give LC the 1-0 lead.

Senior right-handed pitcher
Brennan Russell, who missed the entire 2013 season with an arm injury, shut the door in the ninth inning, as he struck out Steer pinch hitter Jay Lowe looking with the bases loaded to pick up his first career save.

Game Two Box Score

A pair of two-run frames in the second and ninth inning combined with a six run eighth inning was the difference in game two, as Texas College ran away with the night cap by a 10-1 final score.

The Wildcats took an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning when
Jermaine Liggins doubled to left center and eventually scored on a
Matt Scott RBI fielder's choice.

The Steers would answer right back with a two-run second inning before exploding for six runs in the eighth inning and two more runs in the ninth inning to take the 10-1 win.

TC's Lew Caradonna would pick up the win in game two, as he tossed eight outstanding innings of four-hit ball with five strikeouts.

The Wildcats are now 1-1 on the season with the doubleheader split and will face in-state rival LSU-Shreveport at home on Wednesday at 6 p.m.Â
